You could also just buy three quarts of oil, dump in 2, let it sit for 10 min, and check the dipstick. If the level is good, start the mower. Don't know whether its still available, but Rossi used to have a .454 Casul version, which I was told could handle .45 Colt as well. I tried both the Henry, and the Rossi, looking for a 'truck gun". Ended up with the Iron Sighted 92, HOWEVER, I have a habit of having my 'old guy' gunsmith give every new rifle a once over before I take possession. As a result, I don't seem to have any case hanging problems (I bought the .357 version-knocks whitetail bucks on their azz- boars too, we got both here) The action on mine is smooth (maybe not 'butter', but margarine :) and the price was just fine. I'm a stalker hunter (NOT tree blind) so the bright finish on the Henry (they do offer the rifle in a black/blued finish) is a negative, not a positive for me. As you note, in the sunlight the Henry was like carrying a mirror :) One thing I will mention bout the weight. Though the Henry was a bit heavier, it seemed to have (at least for me) slightly better balance. In any event, I wanted a toss in the truck ranch gun that would handle most everything I have on the ranch- coyotes, boars, white tail, the occasional cougars that roam through here (though I generally leave em alone, as with deer like rabbits, they leave my horses alone- hehe I have Mustangs, and the stallions run em off without much delay;) The only thing that can sometimes become an issue are the North Slope Canadian Black Bears, that some bright college kid decided to 'introduce' down here when Florida refused to sell the State Fish & Game boys, some of the formerly native to this area, American Black Bear. Trust me, these things can get REALLY big, and on occasion act more like a Mountain Grizzly, than a 'normal' Black Bear. Over the last 30 years or so , we've had em tear open doors to get at the people behind them, chase hunters up trees- one poor fellow lost a foot and the boot it was in at the time, and more than a few over zealous dogs have had their tickets punched. Now while a .44 mag is clearly more appropriate should you have to deal with one of these with a lever gun, In the last 30 years or so, I've only had 3 (that I know of ) wander onto the ranch as they mostly seem to hang out on or near the State and Federally protected watershed/river areas to the south of where I am. In any event, like you, I liked and still like both the Henry and the Rossi. Oh, one last thought on the .357 vs. other caliber's in a lever gun. Until you start dishing out the big bux for something like Buffalo Bore's +P heavy loads (which REALLY ups the power AND the recoil of the Rossi by the way ;) my Rossi is actually quite fun to shoot and with .38 loads, inexpensively so. In any event, good vid and I totally second your conclusions.

I have a stainless Springfield Loaded 1911 45 and I just bought a Tisas B45 duty model with ambidextrous safety because I am a lefty. The Tisas is a true milspec 1911, you can swap parts with other 1911s and so far function just as my Springfield at half the price. Tisas pricing is due to their economy which has nothing to due with the quality of their pistols tho. Prices are going to move up a bit but not much. Tisas uses top notch CNC machining so their production is that of many other overpriced manufacturers making 1911s robbing people.

Just a fair warning to anyone buying this kit- I had the same problem as another commenter - the wire harness plug would not fit my existing connector. This, in spite of the fact that the light set I'm replacing was also purchased at HF, about four years ago. So, I would suggest the first thing you do after opening the package is to check the fitting to see if it matches your existing rig. If it doesn't, maybe they will take it back, or you're left with splicing wires together to make things work. This new setup also has ground wires coming out of the lights, which was not the case on the previous package I bought there, so one more hassle to deal with.

Had a tire put in my 2005 beetle 2.0 but then in the way home I heard something hit the road. Now something is going on with the vacuum and the car (if it starts) quickly dies

I've had too many electronics damaged by Duracell so switched to Energizer. Now even those it seems leak. I had new ones rot right in their store package after 3 or 4 years in cool indoor storage. I'm giving up on *all* of them and switching to NiMH. Ikea ones are inexpensive and very high capacity. I wouldn't buy any other brand of NiMH. For special cases like my multimeters that are used infrequently I'll use Lithium Energizer, at least those don't leak.

I have 2 12.5's 2 16's and 2 20's .. all with shoot minute of scumbag/pie plate at 200 yards and "at speed" even with my 60 plus year old eyes. They will do it with m193 or m855 (a tad different zero between the two.) For consistency sake all the ammo I use now is Freedom Munitions as it is also my cached ammo for shtf/pass on to kids/grandkids. I have been using and stashing it since 2007/2008.
